Police urge farmers to report rual crime

High cattle and sheep prices have seen an increase in livestock theft in recent years, according to NSW Police.

As part of Rural Crime Week, they’re focussing on stock theft prevention, illegal hunting, and firearms safety.

Police believe 50 percent of these types of crimes go unreported.

New South Wales police, Assistant Commissioner Geoff McKechnie told Eliza Beck under-reporting means they can’t prevent it from happening.
